The Mother of All Gaslighting

A holy mother figure in a blue cloak of innocence, with a false sense of worth, ties up a girl in a straight jacket of lies and insults. To bystanders, the words seem caring, but really they are meant to be belittling. Being raised by a narcissistic parent is kept  a secret.

Ricki Nerreter is a London based Installation Artist. Her autobiographical work consists of the assemblage of vintage toys and random objects into sculptures. She is currently working on pieces concerning mental health. Her work has been shown internationally and in the U.K., including Aviary Studios and Espacio Gallery in London.
