Streams Of Consciousness, All But Forgottent

by Stacy Seiler

“Streams Of Consciousness, All But Forgotten” is an exploration of piecing together the past and healing from loss. Working with old CDV photos, I process emotions of fear, uncertainty and isolation as thoughts taking place in the life of another, a time past.
Stacy Seiler is a multi-disciplinary artist, journalist and design educator based in New York City. As an effect of a traumatic brain injury sustained in 2019, her work made a dramatic shift from precisionist architectural drawings, to mixed media collage and sculpture that intertwine 19th century photography with found poetry, objects from nature, fibers and antiquated tools. Stacy’s work has been exhibited in notable institutions, including: Sotheby’s, CH, The Gould-Guggenheim Estate, Swiss General Consulate NY, The National Arts Club and The Painting Center. In addition to her art practice, Stacy is the Art Editor of IRK Magazine, Paris and an Assistant Professor of Design Strategies at Parsons School of Design. Stacy earned her BFA with a minor in Art History from the Maryland Institute College of Art and her MFA from Parsons.
