Paisible tourmente
(Peaceful storm)

by Maëva Jacques

This short film is about metaphorical madness. Sometimes, a peaceful appearance is hiding a storm of bad emotions on the inside as we slowly lose our mind.

Maëva Jacques is a french animation director, a 2D animator, and an illustrator based in Brussels (Belgium). In 2018, she worked on video mapping projects in a North of France studio. For her personal projects, she likes to create strange and dreamlike worlds with an animal-human hybrids and chimeras bestiary, but sometimes just humans. She explore ecology, feminism and human emotions themes. This year she learned to use AR technology to participate to an exhibition at Bozar (Brussels) with a project focused on feminism and freedom in public space. Now she’s writing an ecological satirical sci-fi screenplay and she’s directing an animation music video.
