OyeDrum Magazine’s Volume 5 Open Call!

OyeDrum Magazine is an intersectional feminist community that publishes explorative, creative, experimental and intellectual work, exclusively by women, for all audiences. We feature performing and visual art, creative writing, media, music, and we love publishing hybrid/experimental work.
Our quarterly curated issue, evaluated by a juror panel, is themed and broken into volumes.

We accept work by people who identify as female and by those assigned female at birth who identify as non-binary.


OYEDRUM MAGAZINE’S VOLUME 5 OPEN CALL!
THEME: MADNESS!

DEADLINE: FEB. 13th, 2022.

We are looking to publish your creative work including fiction, nonfiction, poetry, music, visual and performance art, photography, film, short films, spoken-audio pieces, graphic novels, magic and more. We are particularly interested in hybrid and experimental work that’s daring, original and strange.

What does madness mean to you? We are interested in submissions concerning any interpretation of the word “madness” within any context. We want to emphasize that we are accepting all types of work connected to the subject, and want to know how the writer/artist individually interprets madness.

We welcome all genres and all sorts of interpretations and depictions of our MADNESS theme: humorous, serious, personal, dramatic, romantic, weird, scary, etc.

All submissions should be original, unpublished work. All accepted submissions will automatically be eligible for our annual Best of the Net and Pushcart Prize nominations. You may only submit to 1 category per volume.

We highly encourage submissions from women of color and members of the LGBTQ community.
