The character is an extremely detached individual in a completely fundamental way. She seems to not really ‘connect’ with the entirety of her own reality. Coupled with this is how utterly lost she is within her own mind. She undergoes a profound transformation in the virtual world and in her own fourth dimension by means of a specific form of electronic presence, that is, telepresence.
Castell Lanko is a multidisciplinary visual artist based in Cairo, Egypt. Her work is rooted in conceptual art, taking the form of digital media, illustrations, videos and A/V installations that explore contemporary culture through a narrative. She examines how virtual environments, computational infrastructure, and massively distributed networks can challenge the boundaries of our senses. IG @rabbitkttn FB/Rabbitcatt
